"345. ELIZABETH RICHMOND5 (William4, Silvester3, Edward2, John1) was born in Little Compton, R. I., February 26, 1725. She married January 14, 1742, Lieut. Jonathan Brownell, son of Lieut. George and Mary (Thurston) Brownell of Little Compton. He was born March 29, 1719, and died June 11, 1776, from wounds received at the Battle of Bunker Hill. She died June 11, 1806.

1040. PARDON BROWNWELL6, born July 15, 1745; died July 24, 1799; married Prudence Shaw.
1041. ELIZABETH BROWNWELL6, born June 12, 1748; died Aug. 20, 1827; married March 15, 1770, Ichabod Wood, who was born March 14, 1745, and died Oct. 4, 1817.

1043. Ruth BROWNWELL6, born Nov. 24, 1753; died Nov. 14, 1793; married Joseph Wilbor.
1044. LYDIA BROWNWELL6, born Nov. 7, 1755; died Aug. 14, 1788; married Samuel Taylor.
1045. SYLVESTER BROWNWELL6, born Nov. 20, 1757; died March 21, 1840. He was an officer in the Revolutionary War, being at the Battle of Bunker Hill with his father, Lieut. Jonathan Brownell; and also served under General Washington at the Battle of Long Island. He married, July 11, 1778, Mercy Church, who died March 31, 1837.
One of their children, the Rt. Rev. THOMAS CHURCH BROWNELL7, born Oct. 19, 1779, married Charlotte Dickinson. He was born in Westport, Mass., and graduated at Union College, Schenectady, N. Y., in 1804, being the Valedictorian of his class. IN 1807, he was elected a Professor in Union College, and held that position for a number of years. In 1817, he was appointed assistant minister of Trinity Church, New York. He was consecrated Bishop of Connecticut, Oct. 17, 1891. He was the first President of Trinity College, Hartford, Conn. He died Jan. 13, 1865. Child: HARRIET PUTNAM BROWNELL8, born Sept. 25, 1826; married, May 1, 1855, Charles R. Chapman, son of Charles and Sarah Chapman. They reside is Hartford , Conn., and have children:
1. Elizabeth D. Chapman9, born April 4, 1856, who married, 1st, Kinneban Cornwallis, and have children: (1) Frances C. Cornwallis10, born Sept. 3, 1880; (2) Kenneth Cornwallis10, born Feb. 19, 1883; (3) Brownell Cornwallis10, born Aug. 2, 1886; she married, 2nd, Charles Holland. 2. Thomas B. Chapman9, born Jan.8, 1859; married Helen L. Post. 3. Louisa B. Chapman9, born Sept. 1, 1861; married Howard D. Bean. 4. Robert H. Chapman9, born Nov. 28, 1867; married Renovia M. Walbridge."
