Bondurant Paul WAGNER was born 26 April 1889 in LaBelle, Lewis County, Missouri, USA. He was the only living child of Oliver Cromwell Wagner, and his wife Catherine Erma "Kittie" (Zimmerman) Wagner, his parents having at least 5 other children die in infancy. Paul was also the grandson of David Wagner (lawyer, State Senator, and Chief Justice of Missouri).

Paul's first name "Bondurant" was the surname of the family that lived on the next farm over from his father Oliver Wagner (as listed in the 1880 and 1900 censuses). In the 1900 census, he was listed as "Bondy P. Wagner," but he went by simply "Paul Wagner" for most of his adult life.

Paul married Vera Alvetae PIERCE, daughter of William Wimberly Pierce and Henrietta Sharley. Together they also had only one living child, Vera Henrietta Wagner, born in 1917.

Paul worked as the manager of the Oil Journal (1920 and 1930 censuses), but he died when only 45 years old. He was buried in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. 31 years later, his wife Vera died and was laid to rest beside him.
