    Mrs. Henry Vanderpool, a former resident of Shelbyville, died at her home in Pana at 11:20 o'clock last Friday night, after an illness from a complication of diseases. At the time of her death, she was 62 years, 7 months and 20 days of age. Mr. and Mrs. Vanderpool moved to Pana from Shelbyville a number of years ago. Mrs. Vanderpool was born on March 16, 1863, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Yorkey, her maiden name being Anna Yerkey. She was twice married. Besides her husband, Henry Vanderpool, she is survived by five children, namely, Mrs. Garnett DeWitt, Clark Vanderpool, J. Cameron Vanderpool and William Grabner, all of Pana, and Mrs. John Hively of Portland, Ore. A son, Roy H. Vanderpool, died from bullet wounds while serving in the World War with the American Expeditionary forces in France, and the American Legion Post in Shelbyville, was named in his honor, for being the first member killed during the war. She is also survived by a brother and a sister, Frod [Fred?] Yerkey of Shelbyville and Mrs. Joseph Zander of Beecher City. Funeral services were held from the home in Pana at two o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. Hartwick, pastor of the Pana Presbyterian church, after which the remains were brought to Shelbyville and interred in Glenwood cemetery.
